THESE EARRINGS ARE INSPIRED BY SONDO'S BROTHER, ABDULRAHMAN (age 9).

When we first discussed doing a series of pieces inspired by Sondos' siblings, I asked her what information she would like me to share about each of them. She requested that I make pieces in their favorite colors and share with the world some of their hopes and dreams for their future.

Abdulrahman, lovingly called Abboud by his family, is a cheerful person with a beautiful smile. He loves riding horses and has an impressive athletic talent. He dreams of one day becoming an architect. But at the moment, he wishes are so much simpler. Abboud longs for the war to end. He longs to return to his school, his studies, and his classmates. He wishes to be able to return to his home so he can play games with his family and friends, as every child should be able to.
